Its such a big milestone moving a baby into her cot in her own room. Some mums look forward to that day and others don’t. Which mum are you?
Coming home
From the day we brought Millie home, she slept in her Moses basket next to me, see picture below (how tiny she was 🥰).

Whether you are a first time mum or like me its my third baby in. I still get that worrying thought of, ’is she breathing’ so I gently touch her to make sure shes alive! And any sound she makes I’m straight up out of bed checking on her. This is all normal and every mum does it.
Travel cot
When Millie was around 7 months old I moved her into a bigger travel cot. Which was preloved and given to me by my friend Emma. Every morning I would wake up to her big blue eyes and smile.

Millie slept in this travel cot until she was about 10 months. She loved her cot and we had her into a good bedtime routine which i think is so important. Which I will write about this bed routine in another blog!

Moving Millie into her cot
Then she moved 😭rooms. I felt so emotional as I was so happy seeing her in her cot with all that space. But I felt so sad and nervous because I always check on her during the night. It really is such a big milestone moving a baby into her cot.

Yes I admit I was like a possessed mum having the baby monitor on for a good few nights 🙊 watching her move around in her cot. I even took a picture!

I would love to know how you felt when you moved your baby into her own room in her cot. Even though Millie is my third baby I thought I wouldn’t be that emotional, but I was. How did your baby’s first night go and did you watch your baby on a baby monitor through the night? Or is that just me bring too worried. Do comment below id love to hear your story
